While I was surfing on the web, I stumbled upon globalrichlist.com. A nice website where you can compare your annual income with the rest of the world.
It was interesting to see that I was the 370.942.299 richest person in the world. Only 6,18% of the world population has a higher income. a pretty high score if you keep in mind that my career hardly even started. To become part of the 1% richest you need an annual income of €37.770. This came as a surprise to me, I expected a much higher number.

The affordable Aakash tablet, yet another Android pad, was released in December and already Datawind, the developer, has too many orders to fill. The Aakash tablet sold out almost immediately, proving that Datawind did not anticipate the demand for such a low-end Android pad / tablet PC.
The pre-orders that Datawind began taking in December had no money involved, which means they weren’t technically cash pre-orders but were more like physical reservations for those who waited first. Keep in mind however that the Aakash tablet is just now ready for shipping.

Today I`ve made the last models and renders for the project in Ghana.
I`m pretty satisfied with the results
The model is made using Google Sketchup and 3D studio. Of course it`s photoshoped afterwards.
The design contains natural and cheap materials to keep the costs as low as possible. But also to make it easy to build for the local construction workers. Sun control and ventilation are the key element which the designs is based on. Large overhangs on both sides prevent direct sunlight to enter the house. Diffuse sunlight shines in trough the widows.
